ABSTRACTWirantono, Agus, 2010. Planning The Improvement Of The Road From Rigid To Flexible Rigid Pevement Road Caesalpinia sappan-Pringsurat with the Method Asshto (STA 11 + 040 – STA12 + 540). The existence of the highway is indispensable for economic growth with increasing transport needs that can reach remote areas which is the hub of the national economy. Transportation was the transfer of people or goods from one place to another by using a vehicle that is driven by man or machine. The transport used to facilitate human in performing daily activities. The road is the road transport infrastructure covering all parts of the road, including complementary buildings and equipment intended for traffic. A d where the road really help make it easy for humans to make the shift from one place to another.Rigid roughness is the way in which roughness is composed of Portland cement concrete slabs and foundation layers (also no bias) on a land base. A rigid concrete roughness and has high elasticity, modulul will distribute the load against a field of the area of land which is quite wide, so the biggest part of the roughness on the structure of capacity gained from the concrete slab itself. The road was planned by the author in this final task is the arterial road improvements in Magelang – Semarang from flexible to rigid pavement pavement along the 1.5 km include (STA 11 + 040 – STA 12 + 540). Planning a road covering various aspects such as the physical geometry of the streets, planning layer roughness stiff (Rigid), with a degree in physical form and layer on the streets can expect to meet capacity needs until the time on the street plan and the expected path of the durable so it can save on budget in road construction.Key Words: Rigid Roughness, Transportation, Road
