เWow, in searching for reviews by other runners on this shoe – I found a lot of “fluff”, there was a lot of “oh it for a neutral runner and has this or has that (marketing BS)” but no one had actually seen the function or gave me an honest unbiased opinion on the product – so here goes!
The Brooks Glycerin 11 has been an outstanding shoe in our new Adelaide store with runners, physios and podiatrists alike loving the fit, feel and function, it works really well as a very stable shoe with orthotics as well.
From our perspective, what I loved best about it was the “balance” in the shoe, this being the lateral to medial (outside to inside) density of the midsole was the same.
The basic principle of “the body taking the path of least resistance” means that there with no softer lateral component to take this path and it worked really well for people who had orthotics or had one foot which overpronated slightly more than the other (which is very common…)
This “balance” hasn’t changed in the update which is awesome but what has changed is the target consumer somewhat with a narrowing of the heel in comparison to the 11, what does this mean…
