Негативными последствиями для окружающей среды Казах¬стана, которые могут быть вызваны либерализацией торговли при вступлении в ВТО, являются: истощение природных ресурсов; чрезмерная эксплуатация местных биологических видов; рост технологических загрязнений и накопление большого количества промышленных отходов; реструктуризация экономики в пользу ресурсодобывающих отраслей.
