Cross Cultural Understanding ialah sebuah mata kuliyah yang mempelajari budaya yang ada di dunia dengan tujuan memahami budaya tersebut agar timbul pengertian lintas budaya, hal tersebut ditujukan untuk menimbulkan sifat saling mengerti dan toleransi diantara masyarakat dunia. Disini kita akan mempelajari dan memahami ragam macam budaya yang ada di seluruh dunia, yang mana hal tersebut akan sangat membantu apabila kita ingin lebih mudah dalam menjalin hubungan dengan masyarakat dunia, baik hal itu berupa persahabatan, bisnis, dan lain sebagainya. Ruang lingkup pembahasannya terbilang sangat luas, karena mencakup semua kegiatan yang ada didalam suatu masyarakat. Setalah mempelajarinya, kita akan lebih mudah untuk bergaul serta membangun komunikasi dengan suatu masyarakat dengan yang baru kita kenal. Hal tersebut karena kita telah memahami hal-hal yang mana yang tidak seharusnya dilakukan dan hal-hal yang sebaiknya dilakukan. Intinya, disini kita akan diajarkan untuk saling memahami antar budaya agar kita saling mengerti dan menciptakan suasana yang baik.
