Thank you. As discussed each Tuesday we hold a team meeting with every sales member accounted to provide high level updates from HOD, re-cap on previous week and focus areas for upcoming week together with interactive sales technique training and ‘role play’, all for the betterment of the team.
As my team is diverse from Thai speaking to Chinese speaking to Russian speaking and all from various backgrounds, the common language is English as this is used 95% of the time. Although I am not expecting every member to be English perfect, I do expect them to be able to communicate and relay messages intended to close on sales with clients. Again, as mentioned, each client we come into contact are more less high end clients because our starting price point is at THB 5.5MB and goes to THB 110MB. Therefore, English must come first.
I have one specific Thai new hire which I am struggling with due to his English communication skills. He seems to progressively know the products in Thai; however, when and required to communicate in English, I must say I have a hard time understanding his message. He is under probation at the moment and is provided the same formal documented training (products knowledge, quiz, tests, big brother/big sister(body system}, role play, and SWOT analysis to pin point areas of opportunities and things to avoid which such as weakness and threats. The same as others. I can see he is trying really hard; however, his greatest weakness is his English communication. But rather than overlooking it we do need to help him improve on it, if possible. Of course our goal is to work and improve those we’ve already provided so much training and effort; however, as you know, there are limits if there’s no progress.
Attached are a few example of the training I take the team through which is very much departmental specific on a higher level each Tuesday. This is to train them on sales techniques and ideals to make a sale. There’s a file which is too large I cannot attach ‘overcoming objections’ which is very product and department specific.
