The issue of the homeless in society forms the inspiration for Plan B, an interactive solo performance that will be staged at Democrazy Theatre Studio on Jan 19-23 and Jan 26-30 at 8pm. The performance is directed by the young artist/performer/director Peerapol Kijreunpiromsuk, who observed the homeless in Thailand and other countries and focuses on the question of whether or not homeless people are just an unwanted part of society. He spent almost a year on the project, talking to the Mirror Foundation, a non-profit organisation that helps locate missing persons and also discussed the issue with academics from a justice network. He found out that homeless people are possibly an important indicator of the problems and gaps present in our social system. The show forces the audience to ask themselves if they are at all involved in driving homeless people out of a system in which they once lived like the rest of us; furthermore, it also makes us think about how certain we can be that our lives will go as we plan and we ourselves will not end up homeless. Taking the role of a homeless man will be young performer Kwin Bhichitkul, who has performed in many productions over the years including Wall by Scarlette Theatre, Black Hole by Crescent Moon Theatre, WW101 by B-Floor Theatre, The Little Shop Of Horrors by Steph
