Mô hình Fama-French 3 nhân tố xác định chi phí vốn cổ phần của những doanh nghiệp nhỏ trên thị trường chứng khoán (small-cap). Mô hình này được Fama và French phát triển nhiều năm tại thị trường chứng khoán Mỹ. Trong mô hình này, Fama-French cố gắng tìm ra lời giải thích cho việc đầu tư vào chứng khoán small-cap lại có lợi nhuận biên nhiều hơn khi đầu tư vào chứng khoán large-cap (chứng khoán có giá cao hơn).
