ทุกครั้งที่กล่าวถึงปัญหาคุณธรรมจริยธรรมในสังคมไทย หลายคนมักจะมองไปที่กระบวนการจัดการศึกษา และตอกย้ำเสมอว่าเป็นความล้มเหลวของระบบการศึกษา แต่อยากให้ทุกฝ่ายเปิดใจยอมรับว่าปัญหาเรื่องคุณธรรมจริยธรรมนั้นเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ระดับชาติ ดังนั้น ในการแก้ไขปัญหานั้นจะต้องเริ่มต้นจากครอบครัว สถานศึกษา และที่สำคัญที่สุดคือผู้ใหญ่ทุกคนในสังคมต้องเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้กับเด็กและเยาวชน เนื่องจากการปลูกฝังคุณธรรมจริยธรรมให้ประสบผลสำเร็จสูงสุดนั้นต้องปฏิบัติตนให้เป็นแบบอย่าง สังคมอยากเห็นภาพเด็กและเยาวชนเป็นเช่นไร ทุกคนในสังคมทั้งพ่อแม่ ผู้ปกครอง ครูผู้สอน ผู้บริหาร นักการเมือง ผู้นำสังคม ผู้นำประเทศต้องประพฤติตนให้เป็นแบบอย่างที่ดี เพราะการเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีนั้นถือเป็นวิธีการปลูกฝังคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่ดีที่สุด
