ASD/BP?"My 7 y/o was previously diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar D/O when he was 4 (behaviors started at 2 1/2). Recently, we were referred back to the Neuropsych who originally diagnosed him. He added Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 1). I think the ASD diagnosis is more accurate. He left the Bipolar and ADHD diagnoses on there. I'm still not sold on him being Bipolar...specifically in the evaluation results he said that aggression isn't usually seen in kids with ASD so that's why the Bipolar diagnosis stayed. I know I've read a lot about kids with ASD having aggressive behavior. Is this not the case or is the Neuropsychologist just mistaken?
