Instrumentation
Primary Outcome Measures Self-report
questionnaires were completed using a
visual analog scale (VAS) and the Lower
Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS), both
of which have previously been reported as
reliable for assessing perceived pain and
function, respectively, in patients diagnosed
with PFPS.2,16,43 On the VAS, participants
were asked to indicate the worst
pain experienced in the previous week.
On a similarly worded VAS, a minimally
clinically important change of 2 cm has
been previously reported,16 and on the
LEFS a minimally clinically detectable
change of 8 points has been reported.
