การวิจัยครั้งเป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Research) เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตของนักศึกษาคณะทัศนมาตรศาสตร์ ชั้นปีที่4 มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 30 คน ได้มาจากการสุ่มอย่างง่าย โดยการทำแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยจัดทำขึ้น โดยแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน
1. ข้อมูลทั่วไปของผู้ทำแบบสอบถาม ประกอบด้วย เพศ อายุ ระดับผลการเรียน ค่าใช้จ่ายต่อเดือน สถานภาพสมรสของผู้ปกครอง
2. คำถามจากแบบสอบถาม จำนวน 19 ข้อ เป็นคำถามเกี่ยวกับด้านสุขภาพร่างกาย ด้านการเรียน ด้านครอบครัว ด้านสังคม ด้านที่อยู่อาศัย
