Đây được coi là sự xác nhận của Nga về việc họ đã bắt đầu chiến dịch quân sự chống lại IS ở Syria, trong khi các chuyên gia tìm cách lý giải những lý do đối ngoại và đối nội của Moscow trong việc đưa ra quyết định trên.
