Menurut Budimansyah (2002, hlm. 1-2; Suryadi,et.al.,2012, hlm. 3-4), pengertian Portofolio dalam konteks pendidikan, bisa diartikan sebagai wujud benda fisik yaitu bundle yakni sekumpulan atau dokumentasi hasil pekerjaan peserta didik, seperti bundelan hasil pre test, tugas, post test dan lain-lain. Bisa juga diartikan sebagai kegiatan sosial paedagogis yaitu collection of learning experience yang terdapat dalam pikiran peserta didik baik yang berwujud pengetahuan, sikap maupun keterampilan.

It could also be interpreted as social events paedagogis i.e. collection of learning experience that exists in the mind of the learner either intangible knowledge, attitudes or skills.

Could also be interpreted as a social activity paedagogis collection of learning experience that is contained in the minds of learners both tangible knowledge, attitudes and skills.
