me, the first thing that you strongly recommend is that you should upstairs the code of design of the program, in given case that you're using ACI 318, must compare it to the standard of your country, for example in my country in a code derived from the ACI318 called COVENIN, for example the cutting conditions withstanding or that provides concrete is 0. 53raizf'c * b * d i.e. 0.53 the compressive strength of concrete at 28 days by the base and by the useful height, depends of the for example the program takes 2 raizf'c * b * d, dedes to take into account this, many people use the program without knowing what makes the internally, or equations used. to be able to adjust the making program, when I think the section give the option to contribute a percentage of cut resistance, for example if employs 2 and my country uses 0.53 simply bag a 0.53/2 porcenteja and this value as introdusco to make only this portion of contribution of concrete by cutting , as well as also must take into account that there is a limit, the steel design by court and when calculated exceeds the maximum, the program automatically gives error failure by cutting. for columns, I use a sheet of spreadsheet Excel for the design by Court of columns program must meet the tough moments of columns for your design by court, and as calculated steel is different than the one provided, there is some margin of difference, i.e. He must first know the steel which has to calculate the tough moments and design column by court , so I use an excel sheet in which the time last emleo for the design of. hope will be of your utility that information
