Việc thực hiện chính sách dân tộc, bình đẳng giới ở Việt Nam hiện vẫn còn gặp nhiều khó khăn và thách thức như hệ thống pháp luật chưa thật đồng bộ, cơ chế chính sách còn chồng chéo, một số chính sách chưa thực sự đi vào cuộc sống.

Ngoài ra, nhận thức của một bộ phận cán bộ, nhân dân về bình đẳng giới chưa đầy đủ; phụ nữ vẫn chịu nhiều thiệt thòi; cơ hội đào tạo nghề, việc làm, tiếp cận giáo dục đào tạo nhất là của phụ nữ và trẻ em dân tộc thiểu số còn hạn chế.

Bà Tòng Thị Phóng, Ủy viên Bộ Chính trị, Phó Chủ tịch Quốc hội nhận định như vậy tại Hội nghị tập huấn kỹ năng lồng ghép các chính sách dân tộc, bình đẳng giới trong xây dựng luật và giám sát việc thực hiện chính sách pháp luật ở vùng dân tộc thiểu số do Hội đồng Dân tộc của Quốc hội phối hợp với Cơ quan viện trợ Ireland tổ chức ngày 23/1 tại thành phố Vũng Tàu, tỉnh Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.

Phó Chủ tịch Quốc hội Tòng Thị Phóng nhấn mạnh vấn đề dân tộc và đoàn kết dân tộc luôn được Đảng và Nhà nước đặc biệt quan tâm và khẳng định vị trí chiến lược, lâu dài trong sự nghiệp cách mạng của Việt Nam. Hiện có tới 40 chương trình, mục tiêu, dự án lớn được triển khai thực hiện ở vùng dân tộc, miền núi với mục tiêu tập trung đầu tư cho giáo dục, đào tạo, y tế, giao thông, thủy lợi, hạ tầng thiết yếu, phát triển sản xuất, xóa đói giảm nghèo, giữ gìn bản sắc văn hóa dân tộc... và đã đạt được những kết quả to lớn.

Bên cạnh đó, Việt Nam cũng luôn cam kết mạnh mẽ trong việc thực hiện thúc đẩy bình đẳng giới và được cụ thể hóa bằng luật, chiến lược quốc gia về bình đẳng giới và nhiều văn bản quy phạm pháp luật được thế giới đánh giá cao.

Tại Hội nghị tập huấn, chuyên gia của Ủy ban các vấn đề xã hội, Hội đồng Dân tộc của Quốc hội, Ủy ban Dân tộc, Ban Dân vận Trung ương, Hội liên hiệp Phụ nữ Việt Nam, Học viện Hành chính-Chính trị quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh giới thiệu các chuyên đề như tổng quan việc thực hiện chính sách dân tộc, chính sách bình đẳng giới; tăng cường sự tham chính của phụ nữ từ tiếp cận công bằng, bình đẳng giới; lồng ghép vấn đề bình đẳng giới trong việc thực hiện chính sách, pháp luật về dân tộc thiểu số của cơ quan dân cử Việt Nam; thực hiện bình đẳng giới trong vùng dân tộc thiểu số, những kết quả đạt được, khó khăn vướng mắc tồn tại và những kiến nghị, giải pháp.

Kết quả của hội nghị sẽ được chia sẻ, lan tỏa, giúp Hội đồng Dân tộc, các cơ quan của Quốc hội, Hội đồng Nhân dân các cấp trong việc hoạch định, xây dựng kế hoạch, chiến lược hoạt động của mình, đồng thời giám sát tốt việc thực hiện chính sách dân tộc, bình đẳng giới ở Việt Nam./.
