أعلن المهندس شريف إسماعيل، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، إطلاق طرح المرحلة الأولى من أراضى مشروع تنمية المليون ونصف المليون فدان، وشدد، خلال مؤتمر صحفى، أمس، بحضور المهندس عاطر حنورة، رئيس مجلس الإدارة، العضو المنتدب لشركة الريف المصرى- على أن الإعلان عن الطرح الأول لـ٥٠٠ ألف فدان من إجمالى مساحة المشروع جاء عقب الانتهاء من كافة الدراسات المتعلقة بالمشروع من الناحية الفنية والاقتصادية، مشيراً إلى أن المناطق التى تتضمنها المرحلة الأولى من الطرح بأنحاء الجمهورية سيتم طرحها للشركات الاستثمارية وصغار المزارعين والشباب، وتعتمد على استخدام طرق مختلفة للرى، وتشمل الرى السطحى، والمياه الجوفية.
