Sức Mạnh Chân Lý cung cấp cho nhân

Sức Mạnh Chân Lý cung cấp cho nhân dân tinh thần can đảm chấp nhận hy sinh để phản đối những chính sách bất công của chính quyền, và chấp nhận hy sinh để bất hợp tác với chính quyền trên tất cả mọi phương diện cho đến khi Chân Lý chiến thắng, tức là chính quyền phải thay đổi chính sách bất công. Satyagraha tiến hóa từ từ, và người chấp nhận theo sách lược bất bạo động phải biết kiên tâm và có lòng trắc ẩn để tránh lỗi lầm. Sự kiên tâm đòi hỏi ý chí sẵn sáng hy sinh, và lòng trắc ẩn thương người sẽ dẫn đến chiến thắng của Chân Lý bằng sự thiệt hại cá nhân chứ không phải bằng sự thiệt hại của địch nhân.
 
            Bạo lực đàn áp của đối thủ càng dữ dội thì sự kiên tâm hy sinh càng cao độ. Con người càng hy sinh một cách tự nguyện ở mức độ cao thì chắc chắn họ có thể đạt được thành công. Bất bạo động không bao giờ được dùng như một bình phong để che đậy sự hèn nhát.
