Sainsbury's was founded in 1869 and quickly became one of the largest supermarket retailers in the UK. Based on the brand and its success, Sainsbury's has decided to expand the business into many different areas. Therefore, Sainsbury's has decided to enter the Egyptian market. However, in this market, Sainsbury's has encountered many difficulties and challenges leading to more losses. Since then, Sainsbury's need to weigh between three solutions as business downsize, find an object cooperation in this market or the final solution is completely sold businesses in Egypt. Next, this study will analyze differences in culture between the UK and Egypt - one of the factors that affect the conduct of the company strategy.
