Khu vực miếu thờ: được bố trí ở phía trước, hai bên trục dọc của Hoàng Thành theo thứ tự từ trong ra gồm: bên trái có các miếu thờ Nguyễn Kim (Triệu Tổ Miếu), miếu thờ các vị chúa Nguyễn (Thái Tổ Miếu); bên phải có các miếu thờ cha vua Gia Long là Nguyễn Phúc Luân (Hưng Tổ Miếu) và miếu thờ các vị vua nhà Nguyễn (Thế Tổ Miếu).
