นายกรัฐมนตรีขึ้นแถลงการณ์วันนี้ว่า เธอพร้อมลาออก, แต่ยังไม่เห็นทางการคืนอำนาจให้กับประชาชนตามที่มีการเรียกร้องภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญปัจจุบันได้. และย้ำจุดยืนจะไม่ใช้ความรุนแรงกับประชาชนเหมือนเหตุการณ์ในอดีต และเปิดช่องทางเพื่อเจรจาตลอดเวลา
และสถานที่ราชการยังเปิดทำการตามปกติ
