V. Conclusion
In this article, we reexamine the existence of the
RIPH among the G-10 countries by employing a class
of unit root tests with good size and power. The
previous studies that applied traditional unit root
tests to investigate the stationarity of rids usually
provide mixed results since these tests are well-known
to suffer from problems of low power and size
distortion at finite sample. Accordingly, when
researchers obtain the rejection of the unit root
null, it is not easy to tell if the rejection is due to high
power or oversize of the tests.
