Актуальность полученных результатов по проблеме разработки системы этнокультурного образования детей дошкольного возраста на приграничных территориях России обусловлена тем, что дошкольный возраст - основополагающий этап становления этнической идентичности человека. В результате теоретической, методологической и эмпирической работы по по разработке и внедрению основных компонентов образовательной системы, целью которой является сопровождение процесса формирования этнической идентичности ребенка в дошкольном образовательном учреждении были цели и принципы организации образовательного процесса, методы и приемы их реализации в условиях конкретной социальной структуры - дошкольного образовательной организации. Научная новизна отражена в разработке и апробировании элементов научно обоснованной системы этнокультурного образования детей дошкольного возраста на приграничных территориях России, с учетом региональной специфики (на примере Псковской области). В современном российском дошкольном образовании активно используется зарубежный опыт поли- и этнокультурного образования, однако разработка целостной системы этнокультурного образования дошкольников до сих пор не завершена. В исследовании по проекту выявлены и использованы принципы интеграции на уровне целей, содержания (образовательные области), методов и средств (логические игры и задачи на определенном содержании). В рамках проекта разработана и апробирована педагогическая диагностика уровня осведомленности детей дошкольного возраста об архитектуре родного города. Результаты исследования внедряются на экспериментальных площадках г. Пскова, Псковского района, г. Санкт-Петербурга и г. Калининграда.
Результаты исследования представлены на десяти научных мероприятиях международного уровня (конференции, семинары, симпозиумы) и в одинадцати публикациях (включая РИНЦ, ВАК, Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar).
По состоянию на 1 декабря 2014 года проект выполнен на 90%. Предстоит завершение обобщающего этапа и представление итоговых результатов в публикациях в ведущих рецензируемых изданиях.
