Hope you are well. For the Monolithic Acoustic Ceiling project, we made progress here in the past month with production and testing of samples. We had a meeting last week with the technical team at Saraburi to plan our next steps. Over the next few weeks, our plan is to produce more samples for evaluation with target of setting ourselves up for December’s Innovation Committee meeting.
One exercise we would like to do is conduct installation of laminated board onto ceiling frame (like PIE evaluation) followed then by spraying to get a first look on what the system will look like and what the issues are. The best place to do this right now is SGI training center at Saraburi due to available space (PSTC is occupied with Zolidwall systems). We would like to check a couple of items with you:
1. Availability of 2 installation bays at the training center for mock up – probably first week of December.
2. Tentatively, need 1-2 staff to help.
For spraying, we will likely need to hire a contractor for 1-2 days to spray skimming compound. Damien is looking at options at the moment. If you know of a contractor who can do this (and not affiliated with Knauf), that would be of great help also.
Please let me know if there is any conflict with the above.
