Suci Sebagian Dari Iman

عَنْ أَبِيْ مَالِكْ الْحَارِثِي ابْنِ عَاصِمْ اْلأَشْعَرِي رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الطُّهُوْرُ شَطْرُ اْلإِيْمَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيْزَانِ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلأُ – أَوْ تَمْلآنِ – مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَاْلأَرْضِ، وَالصَّلاَةُ نُوْرٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ . كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو فَباَئِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوْبِقُهَا [رواه مسلم]
Terjemah hadits:
Dari Abu Malik Al-Harits bin Ashim Al-Asy’ari radhiyallaahu ‘anhu, Dia berkata: Rasulullah sholallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam pernah bersabda, “Bersuci adalah separuh dari keimanan, ucapan ‘Alhamdulillah’ akan memenuhi timbangan, ‘subhanalloh walhamdulillah’ akan memenuhi ruangan langit dan bumi, sholat adalah cahaya, dan sedekah itu merupakan bukti (pembela), kesabaran itu merupakan sinar, dan Al Quran itu merupakan hujjah yang akan membela atau menuntutmu. Setiap jiwa manusia melakukan amal untuk menjual dirinya, maka sebagian mereka ada yang membebaskannya (dari siksa Alloh) dan sebagian lain ada yang menjerumuskannya (dalam siksa-Nya).” (Riwayat Muslim no.223).

Rasulullah saw. telah menjelaskan bahwa Thaharah yang dilakukan orang-orang mukmin, terhadap badan dan pakaiannya adalah refleksi dari keimanannya. Karena pelaksanaan thaharah merupakan perwujudan dari ketundukannya terhadap perintah Allah, “Hai manusia, sembahlah Rabbmu Yang telah menciptakanmu dan orang-orang yang sebelummu, agar kamu bertakwa.” (al-Baqarah: 21)

“Hai orang-orang yang beriman, apabila kamu hendak mengerjakan shalat, Maka basuhlah mukamu dan tanganmu sampai dengan siku, dan sapulah kepalamu dan (basuh) kakimu sampai dengan kedua mata kaki, dan jika kamu junub Maka mandilah, dan jika kamu sakit atau dalam perjalanan atau kembali dari tempat buang air (kakus) atau menyentuh perempuan, lalu kamu tidak memperoleh air, Maka bertayammumlah dengan tanah yang baik (bersih); sapulah mukamu dan tanganmu dengan tanah itu. Allah tidak hendak menyulitkan kamu, tetapi Dia hendak membersihkan kamu dan menyempurnakan nikmat-Nya bagimu, supaya kamu bersyukur.” (al-Maa-idah: 6)

“Dan pakaianmu bersihkanlah.” (al-Muddatstsir: 4)

Ini semua dilakukan agar ketika menghadap Allah dalam keadaan bersih dan penampilan yang baik, hingga layak untuk mendapat kecintaan Allah swt.

“Sesungguhnya Allah menyukai orang-orang yang taubat dan menyukai orang-orang yang mensucikan diri.” (al-Baqarah: 222)

Thaharah setengah dari iman.

Rasulullah telah menjelaskan, bahwa pahala bagi orang yang bersuci, berwudlu dan lain sebagainya akan menjadi berlipat ganda di sisi Allah, hingga mencapai setengah dari pahala keimanan. Karena iman menghapus dosa-dosa besar dan kecil yang telah lalu. Sedangkan thaharah, khususnya wudlu, menghapus dosa-dosa kecil yang telah lalu. Dengan demikian, seolah-olah setengah dari keimanan.

Utsman ra. berkata, bahwa Nabi saw. bersabda, “Barangsiapa yang berwudlu dan menyempurnakan wudlunya, maka dosa-dosanya akan keluar dari badannya, sampai-sampai keluar dari bawah kuku-kukunya. (HR Muslim).

Anjuran bersuci dalam Islam terjembatani dalam pelaksanaan wudlu’ sebelum shalat. Demikian pula anjuran mandi sebelum pertemuan jum’atan atau berkumpul tahunan dalam rangka shalat idul adha maupun idul fitri. Begitu juga dengan anjuran memotong kuku, membersihkan gigi, membersihkan pakaian dengan mencuci.

Kitab Fiqih Manhaji Madzhab Imam Syafi’I menerangkan adanya hikmah dibalik anjuran tersebut diantaranya.

Pertama menunjukkan fitrah Islam sebagai agama yang suci.

Kedua, Menjaga kehormatan dan kewibawaan seorang Islam. Karena manusia pada dasarnya condong pada sesuatu yang bersih, suka berkumpul dengan orang-orang yang bersih dan menjauhi sesuatu yang kotor. Maka perintah bersuci adalah jalan menuju kehormatan dan kewibawaan Islam itu sendiri. Lebih-lebih ketika bersinggungan dengan msyarakat lainnya.

Hikmah Ketiga adalah menjaga kesehatan.

Karena penyakit itu datang disebabkan kuman-kuman serta bakteri-bakteri yang dibawa oleh kotoran, maka Islam menganjurkan umatnya untuk menjaga kebersihan agar terhindar dari penyakit. Seperti mebersihkan badan, mencuci muka, mencuci tangan, mencuci kaki, karena anggota yang disebutkan merupakan tempat dimana kotoran yang menbawa penyakit itu bersarang.

Dan terakhir adalah mempermudah diri mendekati Ilahi. Allah Tuhan Yang Mahas Suci senang akan hal-hal yang suci. Karena itu keitka shalat untuk menghadapi-Nya haruslah dalam keadaan suci secara lahir maupun batin.
