Cameron Highlands is a highland region located about 20 km east of Ipoh, 150 km north of Kuala Lumpur and at 5,000 ft. above sea level, that enjoys a cool climate, with temperatures no higher than 25 Celsius and sometime falls below 12 celsius. Cameron Highlands is home to many tea plantations, and known as, the largest tea-producing region. The area is also known as a major supplier of vegetables to both Malaysia and Singapore.
Cameron Highlands is popular among tourists as one of the stopping point during their tour to Malaysia that normally includes Taman Negara, Perhentian Island, Penang, Malacca and Langkawi. You can get there either by self-drive or shuttle service or public bus.
