Два года назад исполнилось 100 лет с момента провозглашения итальянцем Луиджи Руссоло своего "Искусства Шумов". Этот манифест до сих пор остается если не библией, то по крайней мере солидным подспорьем в мотивации и оправдании шумотворества, да и академический статус шумовая музыка завоевала во многом благодаря ему. Нет, мы конечно живем в эпоху, когда благодаря интернету можно найти каких угодно композиторов и исполнителей, от самых маргинальных, до самых "высокоакадемических", но жизнь государственных учреждений все еще недостаточно в это вовлечена. Все же где-то авторитетность источников, историческая справка и список использованной литературы все еще значат гораздо больше, чем количество лайков на фейсбуке и число слушателей на last.fm. Я отнюдь не хочу сказать, что одно хорошо, а другое плохое, главное то, что эти два, казалось бы таких разных, мира в последние годы взаимодействуют все больше. Весомое тому доказательство - этот диск. Признаюсь честно, единственное знакомое мне имя в треклисте - это севастополец SiJ, все остальные исполнители оказались для меня открытием. Поиск по каждому из имен приводит на персональный сайт, где можно увидеть список наград и номинаций, участие во всевозможных фестивалях, создание инсталляций и арт-объектов, международные форумы и конференции... Все это создает впечатление какой-то параллельной вселенной, география которой лично для меня представляет собой набор гигантский белых пятен.

На данном диске, как можно догадаться из названия, представлены работы победителей и финалистов конкурса шумовой музыки имени Руссоло, и, слушая его, эта параллельная музыкальная вселенная перестает казаться такой уж далекой. Каждая из композиций - грамотно выстроенная, тщательно проработанная musique concrete в самых разнообразных её формах. Не стоит ждать от сборника агрессивного шума, хотя весьма мощные моменты на нем и присутствуют. Собственно, произведение победителя по имени John Nichols III, трек "Age" - насыщенное путешествие сквозь непрерывно меняющий свою геометрию ландшафт. Искажения "стрелы времени" в пространстве этой композиции можно сравнить с поведением элементарных частиц в экстремальных условиях космоса. Впрочем, это отнюдь не "космическая" музыка, а скорее математика общей теории относительности, выраженная в звуках. Работа с пространством, внимание к особенностям восприятия, зависящим от контекста - самые актуальные в настоящее время области исследования, и музыка на диске показывает как люди из самых разных стран к этим вопросам подходят. Активное использование полевых записей, постоянная игра между тихим и громким, музыкальным и совершенно случайным - постепенно погружаешься в это все глубже. В своем манифесте Руссоло говорит, что «...шум, достигая нас запутанными и беспорядочными путями из-за беспорядочного сумбура нашей жизни, никогда полностью не раскрывается для нас и держит в запасе неисчислимые сюрпризы.» И действительно, даже самые простые, казалось бы повседневные звуки, раскрываются совершенно другими измерениями смысла и ощущения, стоит лишь их поместить в другой, отличный от изначального контекст - внутрь композиции, в тело шумового организма, живущего по своим законам. И, хотя Луиджи Руссоло неизменно называют футуристом, то, что из его идей развилось в наше время - натуральный постмодерн. А горизонт и не думает приближаться.
