นายกรัฐมนตรีขึ้นแถลงการณ์วันนี้ว่า ตนเองไม่ได้ยึดติดและพร้อมลาออก, แต่ยังไม่เห็นทางการคืนอำนาจให้กับประชาชนตามที่มีการเรียกร้องภายใต้รัฐธรรมนูญปัจจุบันได้. ย้ำจุดยืนจะไม่ใช้ความรุนแรงกับประชาชนเหมือนเหตุการณ์ในอดีต และเปิดช่องทางเพื่อเจรจาตลอดเวลา
กล่าวว่าสถานที่ราชการยังเปิดทำการตามปกติ
