Harianjogja.com, SOLO — Sejumlah pemain dari sekolah sepak bola (SSB) Solo bakal mengikuti seleksi untuk bertanding di turnamen internasional U-12, Barcelona Cup, di Barcelona, Spanyol, tahun depan. Barcelona Cup merupakan turnamen prestisius yang menampilkan SSB atau akademi sepak bola dari seluruh dunia. Turnamen itu telah digelar sebanyak 21 edisi.



Rencana seleksi tersebut tak lepas dari permainan moncer empat bocah asal Solo di Singa Cup, Singapura, awal November 2016 lalu. Meski terhenti di perempatfinal turnamen, sejumlah pemandu bakat terkesan dengan penampilan Doris Nugroho, Raka Gilang Yudatama, Rayhan Ali Darmawan dan Tegar Yudi Kurniawan.

Empat sekawan tersebut kala itu membela tim Forum Organisasi Sekolah Sepak Bola Usia Dini Indonesia (FOSSDI) White. Sehari-hari mereka berlatih di SSB R2 Solo. “Ada pemandu bakat yang tertarik dengan talenta mereka. Anak-anak kemudian diajak ikut seleksi ke Barcelona Cup,” ujar Manajer R2, Retno Sujarwati, saat ditemui Harianjogja.com, di Laweyan, Kamis (24/11/2016).

Retno mengatakan seleksi rencananya digelar di Jakarta pada Desember 2016 atau Januari 2017 mendatang. Selain empat pemain jebolan Singa Cup, dia berencana membawa bocah Solo potensial yang lain untuk ikut seleksi. Retno ingin sebanyak mungkin putra Solo mengharumkan nama Indonesia di Barcelona.

“Satu tim nanti diisi 16 anak. Mungkin nanti saya akan membawa lebih dari empat anak untuk seleksi. Saya coba seoptimal mungkin memfasilitasi anak-anak Solo untuk merasakan turnamen kelas dunia,” kata dia.

Retno menyebut potensi putra daerah sebenarnya tidak kalah dengan negara lain. Hal itu dia pelajari saat Singa Cup beberapa waktu lalu. Menurut Retno, skill anak bisa bersaing dengan bocah seumuran dari luar negeri. “Hanya mungkin sedikit kalah postur,” tuturnya.

Lebih jauh, dia mengatakan peran orang tua penting untuk memacu sang anak berprestasi di sepak bola. Retno tak memaksa jika anak bertalenta tak bisa berangkat ke turnamen karena problem biaya. Retno mengatakan biaya ke turnamen luar negeri selama ini ditanggung orang tua masing-masing. “Tanpa dorongan orang tua, anak sulit maju.”

Seorang pemain jebolan Singa Cup, Raka Gilang Yudatama, mengaku siap mengikuti seleksi ke Barcelona Cup. Bek tengah sekaligus kapten FOSSDI White di Singa Cup itu yakin bisa bersaing dengan anak lain di Nusantara. “Ya nanti mau coba [ikut seleksi],” ujarnya.
