Otak merupakan bagian yang sangat penting sebagai pusat syaraf tubuh. Bagian ini dikenal memiliki struktur yang kompleks dan memiliki banyak lekukan dan lipatan. Allah SWT berfirman dalam kalam-Nya dan berkali-kali mengatakan bahwa disetiap makhluk ciptaan-Nya terdapat tanda-tanda kebesaran-Nya. Seperti dalam A-Qur’an ayat Adz Dzariyat: 20-21 dan QS. Al-Hajj: 18.

“Dan di bumi itu terdapat tanda-tanda kekuasaan Allah bagi orang-orang yang yakin. Dan juga pada dirimu sendiri, maka apakah kamu tidak memperhatikan?” (Adz Dzariyat: 20-21)

"Apakah kamu tiada mengetahui, bahawa kepada Allah bersujud apa yang ada di langit, di bumi, matahari, bulan, bintang, gunung, pohon-pohonan, binatang-binatang yang melata dan sebahagian besar daripada manusia? " [QS. Al-Hajj (22): 18].

Ayat di atas memperkuat bahwa struktur otak memang seperti orang yang sedang sujud. Ini menjadi tanda-tanda kekuasaan Allah bahwa setiap ciptaan-Nya sebenarnya selalu menyembah-Nya sebagai bentuk ketaatan.



Hikmah Sujud yang Mempunyai Hubungan dengan Otak

Pada otak terdapat Prefrontal Cortex yang merupakan bagian yang bertanggungjawab dalam perencanaan, organisasi, pengendalian impuls dan belajar dari kesalahan. Ketika manusia bersujud, posisi jantung akan menjadi lebih tinggi daripada otak, maka darah akan turun ke bagian ini.
