Critically appraise one judgment of an international court that has concerned an environmental protection problem. Substantive comments: The author chose to focus on the Gabcikovo-Nagymoros case. The principal problem with this paper is that the poor standard of English language makes it difficult to follow the analysis and argument presented. Several sentences are incomplete or lack full grammatical sense (typified by paragraphs on p2) – often the present tense is used instead of the past tense (e.g. bottom of p3-p4). Moreover, the author needed to draw out the particular legal conclusions made by the ICJ on key principles concerning IEL, with reference to specific sources. In addition, there needed to be cross-reference made to available published commentary on the particular case in order to underpin and strengthen the analysis Stylistic comments: The paper reflected a poor command of English language and as a result this materially hampered the analysis and development of points. The author needs to improve upon the standard of English language. Pagination? Turnitin check completed.
