เทศกาลวิ่งวัวกระทิงจัดขึ้นทั้งหมดเก้าวัน โดยการวิ่งวัวรอบแรกเริ่มต้นด้วยการปล่อยวัวกระทิงหกตัวออกมาจากคอกเพื่อไล่จัดขึ้นเป็นประจำตั้งแต่วันที่ 7-14 กรกฎาคมของทุกปี ทุกวันจะมีการปล่อยวัวกระทิงทั้งหมดหกตัวออกมาวิ่งตามถนนไปจนถึงวันสุดท้าย ของเทศกาล แต่ในยุคปัจจุบันมีกลุ่มคนที่ต่อต้านเทศกาลนี้มากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เนื่องจากมองว่าเป็นการทารุณกรรมสัตว์
