the location of the trigger finger isn't as critical as how that finger moves and what it drads against. Movement is from the second joint. Stretch a rubber band between the left thumb and the right index finger(for right-handed shooters).Move the rubber band back and forth simply by bending the index finger at the second joint. this is the independent motion drill. Try to keep lateral. It's thick enough it can't be helped, but it can be compensated for.

Simply stated, there is one thing too learn about trigger control:Apply continuously increasing pressure to the trigger and allow the gun to fire. It's positive pressure. do not start the trigger back, pause again.Don't accelerate through the trigger press. If you hesitate,you will accelerate. when the muzzle is directed at the threat and you've formed the intention to fire, take the slack out of the trigger as the sights settle onto thetatget.
