Pony's Beauty Diary - Burgundy makeup
It is expected that 'Burgundy makeup' is in trend this fall, continued form last fall. Usually, Burgundy makeup tends to look somewhat gothic or scary. Today, I'm going to show you eased Burgundy makeup suitable for everyday look . Okay, shall we begin?. I'll start with base makeup. I'm using a pink toned makeup base for clear skin. Dispense on your palm, and apply it using fingers. Apply from inner parts to outer parts naturally. This foundation has pink toned light beige shade. Dispense about 1 cm wide. I'm using a sponge to apply foundation for powdery finish. Using the remaining foundation, I'm applying it on my cheeks once more. Cheeks are the widest facial parts; double layer the cheeks gives long lasting makeup and vivid blusher application. Let's use concealer to cover blemishes. For covering dark under eye areas, I'm using light and yellow toned concealer. Apply widely under the eye using a brush. Pat lightly using fingertips. Next, apply another layer of concealer on a line that's still dark. Using remaining concealer, dab on eyelids to cover redness. And this wraps up eye area base makeup. I'm using the same concealer to cover shades beside the both sides of nose. Pat gently on the shades beside the both sides of nose. Using the remaining concealer, I'm covering redness under the both sides of nose. Using darker concealer, I'm going to cover a breakout naturally. Apply concealer much wider than the troubled area.
Wipe off remaining concealer on the brush. Except the breakout area, blend out the concealer using a brush. It's really important to wipe off the brush while blending it out. Using face powder, I'll control oiliness where concealer is applied and fix the concealer. Apply face powder on covered blemish, and then on eye area where it's mostly rubbed. Please note to apply face powder around lash line for long lasting makeup. I'm applying it to lower lash line to prevent smudging. I'm also applying the face powder to nose bridge where it becomes most oily. Next is eyebrow makeup. Since we'll be weaing red toned eye makeup, I'm using ash brown with cool tone. Instead of applying it from beginning brow, I'm using eyebrow pencil to shape the brows. Since today's makeup user strong red shades, it can create strong impression. Work smoothly towards the arch, and then draw downwardly from the arch. Draw naturally in the direction of the brows
Connect from the arch to the end brow so it becomes almost straight. Fill in a little more, and we are finished. Next, I'm using brow mascara to match brow color with hair color. I'm brushing the brows lightly for natural finish. Redness or yellowness eye area can blur Burgundy makeup. So we need to make eye area like a convas; let me start with eye shadow base. When choosing eye shadow base, matte or very little shimmer shadow is suitable. I'm mixing the ivory shadow with vanilla shadow together. Let's apply it to whole eyelids for brightened eye area. Using vanilla shadow, the darker one, I'm applying it widely on eyelids. I'm applying it from eye crease and working upwards. Let's apply the vanilla shadow to lower lash line continuously and widely. It works better when you apply it wider then you think it should be. Next, I'm using a burgundy toned glamorous pink pencil eye shadow. I won't be using it as eyeliner; I'm going to blend it before it dries so it works as eye shadow. I'm applying it from outer corner to center eyelid naturally. Apply gradually towards the center eyelid. I'm blending it using fingertips for natural look. Using the same shade, I'm applying it to lower lash line to outer corner. Also blend using finger tips for gradation look. Next I'm using another pencil eye shadow in gold shade. Apply it from inner corner to center eyelid, and blend using fingertips before it dries.
I'm applying it to inner corner of lower lash line and blending it.
Next is eyeliner. This time I'm using deep burgundy shade that is suitable for eyeliner. I'm filling in upper center water line first and filling in lash line carefully. Tilt the eyeliner pencil and wing out eyeliner horizontally about 1 cm lightly. I'm using a clean brush to blend out the end of eyeliner wing naturally. For choosing eyeliner for Burgundy makeup, we need light brown shade. I'm applying it to lower lash line, avoiding the water line, in a gentle curve. Next I'll curl eyelashes using eyelash curler. Let's curl lower lashes as well. I'm using mascara to curl the lashes. Let's apply mascara to lower lashes fully holding the mascara brush vertically. Take out faux lashes using tweezers. And I cut the front half. I glued the faux lashes so that shorter ones meet the center lashes. and longer ones are positioned to the wings. Next is blusher . I chose peach shade for warm blush around eye area. Normally we apply blusher around this area; this time, I'm applying the blusher a little below the eyes. I chose matte pink blusher. and I'm applying it to center of cheeks widely and lightly. This is gradation cheek technic; it becomes more pink towards the bottom. I'm using concealer to totally de-color my lips. Pat gently and cover lip line
This may be the focus of Burgundy makeup; burgundy shade lipstick. Dot lightly and apply it to lips. Using a lip brush, apply the lipstick to end tip of brush. I'm accentuating the inner lips by adding one more coat. Important part of Burgundy makeup is that we sue lots of red shade. So it's important to create flawless base makeup for facial skin and eye areas. How about trying trendy Burgundy makeup this fall?
