Drei Paragrafen, drei Vorwürfe, das ist bislang der Stand der deutschen Ermittlungen in der Abgasaffäre bei Volkswagen. Es geht um viele verdächtige Beschäftigte; und vor allem um schweren Betrug an den Käufern von Diesen-Fahrzeugen, denen niedrige Schadstoffwerte vorgegaukelt worden waren. Jetzt kommen ein neuer Beschuldigter und zwei weitere Paragrafen hinzu, die VW noch mehr Sorgen und Nöte bereiten dürften, die teuer werden könnten für den Autokonzern mit Stammsitz in Wolfsburg.

Gegen diesen Mitarbeiter, der bei VW als hochrangiger Jurist mit der Abgasaffäre befasst war und der inzwischen beurlaubt ist, läuft ein Verfahren wegen versuchter Strafvereitelung und Urkunden-Unterdrückung. Das bestätigte der Braunschweiger Oberstaatsanwalt Klaus Ziehe auf Anfrage von Süddeutscher Zeitung, NDR und WDR. Der Mitarbeiter bestreitet dem Vernehmen nach die Vorwürfe.
