Global tourism, if speaking of its

Global tourism, if speaking of its simple definition, refers to the socio-economic activity of traveling to the places throughout the world for pleasure (Harris, R., & Howard, J., 1996). Besides, global tourism could give an account of the business of providing hotels, restaurants, entertainments, etc., all over the world. On the other hand, hospitality industry can be understood as a broad term as well as category with respect to the domains containing both service industry, such as event planning, transportation, and tourism industry. To be specific, we can say that global tourism is viewed as a bigger picture from macro-level perspective while hospitality industry is believed to be seen as the micro-level development.

As we carry out an in-depth analysis of sub-sectors of the global tourism, several of them are always mentioned and reviewed, such as “Accommodation,” “Adventure Tourism and Recreation,” “Attractions,” “Events and Conferences,” “Food and Beverage,” “Tourism Service,” “Transportation,” and “Travel Trade.” Meanwhile, in the hospitality sector, it comprised of a variety of sectors providing a range of services and facilities and a range of jobs in various department, which includes hotels, motels, motor inns, restaurants, clubs, hostels, fast food outlets, resorts, convention and conference venue, service apartment, entertainment or sports venue, casino complexes, and cruise ship. Again, we can claim that tourism relates to a general and horizontal category consisting of individuals or entities of similar/same level industries, which are referring to the parts of hospitality industry.
