Interpersonal literacy is the fifth component of the
curriculum, which focuses on the emotional
and interpersonal aspect of the student’s
development. Human relations are a
concern of all religions and
philosophies. Inherent to all of
them is the tenet, “treat others as
you would like to be treated
yourself.” This is the golden rule of
human relations. It is a principle
that urges us toward the highest
and most equitable standards of
behavior in all of our dealings with
other people.
