Conclusion

It is an unfortunate oversight that the program for educational reform
suggested in the 2003 AHDR does not address the diglossic situation in Arabic.
On the contrary, the UNDP (2003) calls for pan-Arab cooperation in "curriculum
development, textbook production and teacher training, areas in which a
common language represents a major advantage" (UNDP, 2003, p. 58). The
authors of this program have ignored the effects of diglossia and dialectal
differences on learning and have not prepared for the potentially negative impact
this might have on educational reform.

Kesimpulan Ini adalah pengawasan disayangkan bahwa program reformasi pendidikan yang disarankan dalam 2003 AHDR tidak membahas situasi diglossic dalam bahasa Arab. Sebaliknya, UNDP (2003) menyerukan kerjasama pan-Arab di "kurikulum pengembangan, produksi buku teks dan guru pelatihan, daerah di mana bahasa umum merupakan keuntungan besar "(UNDP, 2003, hal. 58).
