وأشارت إلى حرص دولة الكويت أيضاً على ترجمة الخطة العالمية في اطار خطط وطنية انمائية ترتكز على ثلاثة اتجاهات اساسية هي التنمية البشرية المجتمعية والتنمية الاقتصادية والتنمية البيئية.

وذكرت الصباح أن دولة الكويت تهدف من خلال التزامها بتنفيذ خطط التنمية إلى معالجة أوجه القصور الانمائية والحفاظ على المكاسب المحققة في اطار الأهداف الانمائية للألفية.

وأضافت أن «تحقيق التنمية المستدامة بمختلف أبعادها يتطلب أيضاً توفير الأجواء المناسبة وفي مقدمتها قضية تغير المناخ كونها أبرز تحديات العصر الحالي التي تتطلب اتخاذ قرارات جريئة ومشتركة لتخفيف الانبعاثات التي تضر بالبيئة بشكل مستدام ومرن».
