Pelan ini menetapkan bahawa politeknik perlu diperkasakan dengan imej baru supaya ia mampu bersaing dan menjadi institusi pilihan utama di kalangan pelajar lepasan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). Di samping itu, hala tuju baru itu juga bertujuan melahirkan mahasiswa politeknik yang mempunyai kemahiran untuk diambil bekerja serta daya keusahawanan yang tinggi. Paling penting, hala tuju itu diharapkan dapat mengubah persepsi masyarakat awam terhadap pengajian di politeknik supaya lebih yakin dan positif.

This plan stipulates that the Polytechnic should be upheld with the new image so that it can compete and be a preferred institution among graduates of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
