„Da kann man gar nicht traurig sein mit so einem Bild im Zimmer“ meinte eine Besucherin einer Peter Elsner-Ausstellung treffend. Peter Elsner malt – wie er selbst sagt – „MENSCHEN“: Die Bilder entstehen in einem Spannungsfeld von Farben, Formen und zum Teil auch Texten. Mittendrin seine MENSCHEN: vereinfacht, comichaft, naiv, niedlich.
