وحيث أن المياه العادية الموجودة أنذاك في مزارع القرية والأنهر الصغيرة فيها، لم تكن بتلك العذوبة، فأن الماء العذب الموجود في "العين الحلوة" في وادي الصخير، كان له مذاق خاص ، وخصوصآ أنه من ماء الأمطار. وكانت الأهالي تنتظر قدوم فصل الشتاء وهطول الأمطار للتزوّد من ذاك الماء العذب.

The people waiting for the arrival of winter precipitation for the supply of that fresh water.
