There are a lot of fake kanken out there so I am gonna write a guide on what to look out for an AUTHENTIC kanken. This guide may not be perfect but I hope they are useful! First of all authentic tag is not a good indication, the tag is just some paper that can be easily reprinted and be attached to an inspired kanken bag. An authentic kanken is made from durable and light weight Vinylon F, they are extremely water resistant. The material shouldn't look silky and shiny! Second, look at the button! The front button should look almost exactly like this, with the arctic fox engrave. The outer rim of the button should be abit darkened not bright bronze colour. Many of the inspired out there also have arctic fox engraved! You can check the 4th pic to see the detail of authentic and fake button. (LHS is fake, RHS is authentic) the back of the button should have "WASA 6" wording. Inspired one often of random wording or stars instead. Thirdly, look at the zip! Most of you know that the zip should have kanken logo and "fjallraven" written on either side of the zip. BUT that's not all, authentic kanken should also have "5CN" as shown in the first pic collage 2. The side of the zip should also have "YKK" check collage 3. Fourth, look at the internal washing tag. There should be 3 tags inside. The first tag should have the correct product number correspondingly! 23561 - Kanken Mini 23510 - Kanken 23563 - Kanken Big Fifth, the front kanken logo should be reflective in the dark ONLY! If you can see little sparkly particle on the logo it might be a fake. Sixth, the back strap should have the exact same stitching pattern shown in pic 3. It should be H-shaped. Beside all these, all other verification method such as scanning the barcode also apply. You should also check @kittys guide for other things to watch out. I lazy to type haha
