L’église de Phu Nhai fut d’abord construite en bois par le dominicain Emmanuel Riaño en 1866. En 1881, l’évêque Hoà et le prêtre Barquerot Ninh firent construire une deuxième église selon l’architecture orientale, avec deux clochers. Cette église fut dévastée durant la guerre. Elle fut reconstruire le 17 mars 2003 par le prêtre Đaminh Nguyễn Chu Trinh.

In 1881, the Hoà Bishop and the priest Barquerot Ninh did build a second church according to the Eastern architecture, with two bell towers. This church was devastated during the war. It was rebuild by the priest Đaminh Nguyen Chu Trinh on March 17, 2003.
