Вступление России во Всемирную Торговую Организацию (ВТО)- это долгий и сложный переговорный процесс. Практически 20 лет заключения договоров и соглашений, огромного количества деловых встреч и 22 августа 2012 года наша страна, наконец, благополучно была титулована 156 членом ВТО, таким образом, получив ряд привилегий и обязанностей. С точки зрения экономики, вступление России в ВТО открывает нашей стране доступ к обширным рынкам других стран-участниц ВТО, а значит, открывает доступ к более дешевому импорту товаров и услуг, а так же предоставляет защиту российским экспортерам на внешних рынках, поскольку одной из первых функций Всемирной Торговой Организации является заключение равных условий для всех членов организации.
Актуальность рассматриваемой проблемы объясняется тем, что членство России во Всемирной Торговой Организации значительно скажется на социальной и экономической деятельности страны, что повлечет за собой ряд последствий. Оценка этих самых последствий, позитивных или негативных, является одной из самых острых и обсуждаемых тем, как в России, так и во всем мире.
