ปลื้มจิตร์ ถินขาว หรือ หน่อง เกิดเมื่อวันพุธที่ 9 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2526 ปัจจุบันอายุ 30 ปี เป็นชาวอ่างทองโดยกำเนิด จบมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นจากโรงเรียนอ่างทองปัทมโรจน์วิทยาคม และมัธยมปลายจากโรงเรียนบดินทรเดชา(สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) จากนั้นได้ต่อเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาตรี และปริญญาโท จากคณะบริหารธุรกิจ มหาวิทยาลัยรัตนบัณฑิต (RBAC)

สำหรับการเดินทางสู่เส้นทางนักกีฬาวอลเลย์บอลหญิงนั้น ปลื้มจิตร์ เริ่มเล่นวอลเลย์บอลตั้งแต่อายุ 14 ปี ขณะที่เรียนอยู่ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 จังหวัดอ่างทอง ก่อนจะไต่ระดับก้าวขึ้นมาติดทีมชาติไทยได้สำเร็จ โดยเล่นตำแหน่งบอลกลาง (Middle) และเธอเป็นหนึ่งในนักวอลเลย์บอลทีมชาติไทยที่ได้เซ็นสัญญาไปเล่นวอลเลย์บอลอาชีพในต่างประเทศ ขณะนี้สังกัดทีม Igtisadchi BAKU ประเทศอาเซอร์ไบจาน (พ.ศ. 2555-2556) โดยที่ก่อนหน้าก็เคยเล่นให้กับสโมสรในประเทศจีน, ตุรกี และรัสเซีย มาแล้ว
