Personality and Communication
personality noun (plural personalities) the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character.
It has been shown that communication is inextricably linked to personality. (Leung & Bond, 2001). For example, the shy person is reluctant to speak, and this in turn can cause others to think and react negatively towards them. Such a result may reinforce the shyness and make the person even more reluctant to communicate.
