1. Định nghĩa về kinh doanh
Theo VCCI (Phòng Thương mại & Công nghiệp Việt Nam) và ILO (Tổ chức Lao động Quốc tế) kinh doanh là một hoạt động được một hoặc một nhóm người thực hiện với mục đích tạo ra lợi nhuận. Hoạt động kinh doanh có nghĩa là sản xuất hoặc mua hàng hoá và dịch vụ để bán cho khách hàng.
Vì mục đích kinh doanh là tạo ra lợi nhuận nên tiền thu được từ kinh doanh phải lớn hơn tiền bỏ vào kinh doanh. Một công việc kinh doanh thành đạt sẽ trải qua quá trình kinh doanh một cách liên tục, có hiệu quả.
Trong một xã hội bất kỳ, kinh doanh lành mạnh luôn là nền tảng của sự phát triển kinh tế, còn doanh nghiệp là chất xúc tác tích cực cho những hoạt động kinh doanh này.
