Der dänische Landschaftsmaler Peder

Der dänische Landschaftsmaler Peder Mork Mönsted reiste durch Europa und schuf ein umfangreiches Œuvre an vielseitigen Naturimpressionen. Immer wieder kehrte er dazwischen in seine skandinavische Heimat zurück und malte dort meist menschenleere, unberührte Fluss- und Waldlandschaften. Mönsted wurde klar durch den Impressionismus beeinflusst und sein Werk lässt sich kaum in die akademische Landschaftsmalerei der Zeit einordnen.

The Danish landscape artist Peder Mork Mönsted traveled through Europe and created an extensive Œuvre of versatile natural impressions. Again and again in between, he returned in his Scandinavian home and painted there mostly deserted, pristine River and forest landscapes. Mönsted was clearly influenced by impressionism and his work can be classified is hardly in the academic landscape painting of the period.
