At the
same time, intraregional (led by intra-Asian trade) and
South–South trade accounted for 40 per cent of global
containerized volumes in 2014, followed by flows on the
mainlane East–West (30 per cent), North–South (17 per
cent) and secondary East–West trade routes (13 per
cent) (Clarksons Research, 2015f) (figure 1.6 (c)).
