An employee was standing on top of an elevated platform (≈12 in. off the ground) to check the supply of label tape at Press 56. While the employee turned and attempted to step down from the elevated platform, they lost their footing and struck their knee cap on the platform causing a contusion with severe pain in their knee. The employee was transported to the hospital where they were determined to have sustained a bone bruise. They were treated and released from the hospital, same day. Employee was required to be off work to fully recover.
